Purple Beets Blown Glass Tree Ornament by Old World Christmas Farm Collection

The humble beet has provided healthy and delicious food to commoners and kings since ancient times. Today many gardeners and cooks remain passionate about beetroots because they are easy to grow, have a unique flavor and are exceptionally nutritious.

Each figurative glass ornament produced by Old World Christmas is hand crafted in age-old tradition using the same techniques that originated in the 1800's. Molten glass is mouth-blown into finely carved molds made exclusively for Old World Christmas, before a hot solution of liquid silver is poured inside. The ornaments are then hand-painted and glittered in a series of labor-intensive steps to achieve the beautiful creations.

This is a brand-new ornament from the Old World Christmas collection. All ornaments in the collection include a "story tag" on the hook, along with the OWC metal tag.
