Burnet "Little Angel", Sanguisorba Officinalis, variegated foliage.

This burnet is quite charming with its dark red, fuzzy bottle-brush flowers nodding on sturdy stems of fern-like variegated foliage. Blooming in mid-summer, this tough and long-lived perennial is tolerant of a wide range of soils including heavy clay.

Stubby, red spikes are balanced on slender, wiry stems above a spreading clump of long, deeply divided leaves. Great for willowy, 'see-through' effect in a border. Could be put at the front of a border and will not hide anything behind it. Flower spikes throughout summer sport light pink catkin-like flowers born on upright stems. To 26" tall and forming a clump.
