Clara from The Nutcracker Ballet - Blown Glass Tree Ornament by Old World Christmas

Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker Suite" tells the story of Clara, who is given a nutcracker for Christmas. She falls asleep and dreams it has come to life — after a battle with the Mouse King, Clara and her Nutcracker Prince travel through a snowy forest to the magical Kingdom of Sweets, where they meet the lovely Sugar Plum Fairy. This beautiful blown-glass ornament is a lovely reminder of this classic Christmas ballet.

Made using age-old techniques originating in the 1800s: molten glass is mouth-blown into finely carved molds made exclusively for Old World Christmas, a hot solution of liquid silver is poured inside, and each ornament is then hand-painted and glittered through a series of labor-intensive steps.
