This succulent changes colors throughout the year. Gold in the spring, to orange tones in the summer, and dark red in winter topped off with unique ‘frosted webbing' on tips all year round.

  • Offsets: This 2" tall cultivar produces numerous offsets (also known as “chicks”) each spring. These offsets can be left to form tidy clusters or removed for sharing and transplanting. When it blooms, it blooms pink
  • Growing Conditions:
    • Sunlight: Hens & Chicks thrive in full outdoor sunlight to showcase their best colors and maintain their tight rosette shape.
    • Soil: Well-draining, gritty soil is ideal for these hardy succulents.
    • Watering: Weekly watering during spring and summer is recommended. If temperatures exceed 80°F (27°C), provide afternoon shade.
    • Cold Hardiness: ‘Gold Dust’ is frost-hardy and can withstand winter conditions, even under a blanket of snow.
    • Zone: Hardy in zones 3-8
    • Deer and Rabbit Resistant
    • Pet Safe
