French Tarragon Herb Plant - Artemisia dracunculus var. sativa Plant - 4 inch pot

A delightful herb that adds a mild anise-like flavor to various dishes. 

1. Soil Requirements:

   • Tarragon thrives in well-draining soil enriched with organic matter.
   • Create a potting mix by combining equal parts of garden soil, sand, and peat moss or compost. 

2. Planting:

   • Fill the pot with the prepared soil mix, leaving about an inch of space from the rim.
   • Dig a small hole in the center of the pot slightly larger than the root ball of your lemon thyme plant.
   • Gently remove the plant from its nursery container and loosen up the roots.
   • Place the plant in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface.

3. Watering and Sunlight:

   • Water your tarragon moderately once established. In fact Tarragon can be pretty drought tolerant. 
   • Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.
   • Partial shade to protect from hot afternoon sun is appreciated. 

4.  Pruning and Harvesting:

   • Regular pruning helps maintain the plant’s shape and encourages new growth.
