Japanese Kewpie Doll Hand Stitched Kimono

Vintage Kewpie doll wearing hand stitched kimono. His arms are attached to his body using string. His little bag contains a small folded piece of paper signed by a Sunday school student living in Japan.

Head had been damaged (see photos). There is also a hole in the left sleeve of the kimono (see photos)

The doll itself stands about 5" tall, but the dress hangs another inch below his feet.
