Lunch boxes have been widely used since the industrial age, when it became unfeasible for workers to return home for lunch. In the 1950s, marketers saw huge potential for sales and began creating children's lunchboxes with characters, logos and colors. Today, lunchboxes are nostalgic and collectible.
