Pekinese Sempervivum Hens & Chicks Succulent - 4" pot

Pekinese is a charming cobweb Sempervivum — medium-sized rosettes of light green leaves laced with delicate silver hairs that catch the light like fine silk. Pastel flowers rise on short spikes in summer, and the foliage shifts color throughout the seasons for year-round interest.

Seasonal Notes:

Sempervivum succulents grow most actively in spring and summer. Incredibly frost-hardy, they overwinter happily under a blanket of snow. Note: after flowering, the mother rosette ("hen") dies naturally — simply remove it by gently tugging at the base of the bloom stem. The surrounding chicks will fill in quickly.

Chicks can be left to form tidy clusters or removed to share and transplant. Drought-tolerant and deer resistant. Do not fertilize. Space 6" apart.
