Watermelon Rind Sempervivum is a striking hens and chicks variety with rich green rosettes edged in deep red evoking the look of a freshly cut watermelon. A tough, low-maintenance perennial that earns its place in any garden or container.

Seasonal Notes:
Sempervivum succulents grow most actively in spring and summer. They are incredibly frost-hardy and will overwinter happily under snow. Protect from heavy rains and standing water to prevent rot.
Thrives in gritty, well-draining soil and pots with drainage holes. Produces new offsets ("chicks") on stolons that can be left to cluster or removed to share and transplant. Do not fertilize. Space 6" apart.
Suggested Use: Rock gardens, trough gardens, wall crevices, dry gardens, edging, strawberry jars, and containers.
