You Light Up My Life Firefly Beetle Blown Glass Hanging Tree Ornament by Old World Christmas

This firefly comes bearing a message of most importance: You light up my life. These beetles are also known as forest stars as they light up the dark shadows of the forest with their bioluminescence.

This is a brand new ornament from the Old World Christmas collection. All ornaments in the collection include a "story tag" on the hook, along with the OWC metal tag. 

Each figurative glass ornament produced by Old World Christmas is hand crafted in age-old tradition using the same techniques that originated in the 1800's. Molten glass is mouth-blown into finely carved molds made exclusively for Old World Christmas, before a hot solution of liquid silver is poured inside. The ornaments are then hand-painted and glittered in a series of labor-intensive steps to achieve the beautiful creations.
