Why I love Old World Christmas Ornaments So Much

Why I love Old World Christmas Ornaments So Much

Growing up poor, we didn't have much as far as Christmas goes.  A sparsely decorated tree, no real “around the house” decorations, ratty very used stockings (if any) and we got 1 present from Santa, period. It was not a big day, or something we really looked forward to.  I remember going over to friends' houses and seeing what a magical Christmas looked like in other families.

As a Mother, I wanted to make Christmas magical for my own children and have done my best to be maybe a bit overly joyous about Christmas. I found out about Old World Christmas Ornaments and have fallen in love with the company and all the unique ornaments they make.  First off, the company was called Inge Glas in Germany over 100 years ago and that is where it all began. Antique molds were made and the ornaments were mouth blown in glass and then hand painted. They have thousands of ornaments in every possible form you can think of.  There is literally one for every person you know.

Even today in all modern technology, they are still hand poured and hand painted with careful precision to detail.  They are brightly colored with glitter abounding to enhance all their beauty.

These ornaments become heirloom gifts to pass down from generation to generation. Every year they come out with 100s of new ornaments to enjoy and add to your collection. They make the perfect Christmas gift for people of all ages.  Once a person gets hooked on the uniqueness of Old World Christmas Ornaments, they will likely become a lifetime collector.

Make new traditions with your family and show them the joy that Christmas can be. They certainly have helped me provide a magical Christmas for my kids. Don’t forget to include some of these unique Old World Christmas ornaments to pass on down to your Children and Grandchildren.
