Beautiful Catmint Nepeta "Purrsian Blue". Nepeta (Catmint) is a rugged, easy-to-grow garden perennial that thrives in harsh landscapes. Catmint (Nepeta) plants are hardy and long-lived, prefer average, well-drained soil and can be planted in full sun to part shade. To promote continued blooms, shear Nepeta flower spikes after initial flowering. Catmint plants are an invaluable source of nectar and pollen for honey bees.
Butterflies and hummingbirds will flock to the stalks of purple flower clusters that emerge from compact mounds of dark-green foliage in mid summer! Tolerant of heat and dry conditions, this tough perennial is also resistant to rabbit and deer grazing. A prolific bloomer, perfect for using near the front of perennial borders and in mixed container plantings. This plants foliage turns red in the fall, that is an added bonus to this great perennial.
