Clothing Iron - Blown Glass Tree Ornament by Old World Christmas

A freshly ironed outfit makes you stand taller, feel confident and as though you re ready to take on the day. Before electricity and the invention of the electric flatiron in 1882, irons were heated by a fire. The first electric iron weighed almost 15 pounds and took a long time to heat.

Each figurative glass ornament produced by Old World Christmas is hand crafted in age-old tradition using the same techniques that originated in the 1800's. Molten glass is mouth-blown into finely carved molds made exclusively for Old World Christmas, before a hot solution of liquid silver is poured inside. The ornaments are then hand-painted and glittered in a series of labor-intensive steps to achieve the beautiful creations.

This is a brand-new ornament from the Old World Christmas collection. All ornaments in the collection include a "story tag" on the hook, along with the OWC metal tag.
