Sedum dasyphyllum, commonly known as Corsican Stonecrop, is a low-growing, mat-forming, evergreen succulent. Its tight foliage consists of minuscule, fleshy, silver-gray leaves arranged in spirals along the stems. When stressed by drought or cool weather, the leaves take on a pink or purple tinge. In early summer, clusters of tiny, star-shaped flowers bloom just above the foliage. These flowers are white with pink streaks. Butterflies are frequent visitors to this attractive plant.
Here are some key details about Sedum dasyphyllum:
- Height: Grows up to 1-2 inches tall (2-5 cm).
- Spread: Spreads to about 6-8 inches wide (15-20 cm).
- Sunlight: Performs best in full sun, but it tolerates light shade.

- Drought Tolerance: Once established, it is drought-tolerant.
- Uses: Perfect for rock gardens, edging, or containers.
- Wildlife Attraction: Deer and rabbit resistant.
