- Description: Semi-evergreen herbaceous perennial forming a handsome mat of rich blue-violet flowers in mid to late spring.
- Flower Features: Fragrant, saucer-shaped flowers with five, flat, overlapping petals.
- Growth: Creeping habit, reaching 12-16 inches tall and 32 inches wide.
- Preferred Conditions: Part shade, humusy, moist, well-drained soils. Tolerates clay and dry soils.
- Uses: Beds, borders, rock gardens, naturalized areas, groundcover, and underplanting shrubs and roses.
