• Appearance: Bushy and well-branched, it grows up to 18-48" tall
• Blooming Season: Red Valerian blooms prolifically from early summer to fall.
• Foliage: Green, lance-shaped leaves.
• Growing Conditions:
  • Sun: Full sun (light shade tolerated)
  • Soil: Average , moist soils
  • Climate: Doesn’t appreciate hot and humid summers
• Wildlife Attraction: Vanilla-scented flowers attracts butterflies and birds but is ignored by deer. It is known to be a favorite for cats and may be an alternative for those cats not affected by catnip.
