Its thick, fleshy rosettes feature green tips that deepen to a rich chocolate burgundy as temperatures cool — a dramatic seasonal transformation that makes a big statement in any garden or container. Each plant can spread up to 12 inches wide, making a real impact in the landscape.

Like all Sempervivums, after blooming the mother hen declines and sends out new chicks on stolons. Simply remove the spent mother to make space for the next generation.
