Sempervivum Rojin / Live Succulents /Red succulent/ Red Sempervivum Hens & Chicks / 4" pot / Full sun plant
Sempervivum Rojin is an historic garden plant with succulent foliage that changes dramatically throughout the year. It will forms rosettes of smooth, bright red leaves, shading to darker at the tips and green toward the center in winter. In summer, the leaves range in color from olive green to rich burgundy, and everything in between. The name Rojin means aged man in Japanese.
Hens Chicks grow best in well-drained, gravelly soil that is not wet in winter. Wet feet may cause the plant to rot. They are drought tolerant once established. Great in containers and rock gardens, including small crevices or spaces with limited soil.
